Lauren Conrad Most people seek hair coloring advice from friends and family. But Lauren Conrad isn't most people. When you've got as many fans as she does, why not ask them? So she did. She put up a poll on her site The Beauty Department and waited for her fans to make a decision.When we sat down to chat with Lauren, she told us how she left the fate of her hair color in her fans' hands. She said:
I had a poll, because I had dyed my hair brown a month or so ago, and so for summer I was considering a change so we did a poll asking whether I should remain a brunette or lighten my hair up and be blonde again and we left it up for about a week and blonde won, so I dyed my hair back blonde.
But you'll notice Lauren didn't go completely blond. She decided to keep her darker roots, for convenience sake. Ombre hair is a big trend this season, but Lauren's choice was less about trend and more about lifestlye. She says:
When I have a darker root I like that it looks a bit more natural, but it also doesn't require me to get into the salon as often. I'm there for like 6 hours when I go. 6 or 7 hours, It's a full day.
